We are here for a moment. Living it together. Breathing the same air. Walking the same path.
Loving. To the moon and back.
Liri & Paul’s wedding day was marked by those present, living deeply and fully, gathered under the canopy of family and tradition. Absence was also there, the absence of a sister, of wives and husbands, of parents and grandparents and of friends who walked this same path of loving before Paul and Liri. Whose footsteps (visible and invisible) guided them here.
For a day, let’s make all of this visible. Cut the cake, sing the songs, throw the money! And just love, love, love.
J & R, you stood together under the wide open Maine sky, ripe with rain. A sacred space was created, because everyone came together and agreed that it was so. Many blessings were made on your marriage.
May you be attendant to the will for light and love.
May you see and feel the highest energy in this moment and the many moments yet to come
Here is a community of people, to hold and nourish and cherish you. To help cultivate and water this blossoming. I am so honored to be a part of this community you have knitted together. And I hope these images also serve to nourish your marriage over the years.

So full of joy and love and yes even tears, may these images serve as a reminder of these moments and the glorious souls who shared them with you. Thank you, L & B, for the honor of photographing your wedding day. Enjoy.
Ryan and Erika were married by the ocean.
The “Art of Marriage” was read at their wedding ceremony. I’d never heard it before, but I’ve like to share a bit of it here.
…It is standing together facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude
of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy.
It is speaking words of appreciation
and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is not looking for perfection in each other.
It is cultivating flexibility, patience,
understanding and a sense of humor.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is finding room for the things of the spirit.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful…
Congratulations to both of you. I loved being a part of the circle of love that you two have created, and in which your family gathered on this one magical evening in early October. May these photographs always be a reminder of the love that surrounds you on this night and throughout your marriage.
Two Scottish families become one, in another rolling and green countryside. Under the tartan of your ancestors, come and gone and come again, the two of you publicly declared your intentions to each other.
And by the strength of your love you were pronounced to (still) be husband and wife.
