an Engagement
A little teaser of this lovely engagement.
A little teaser of this lovely engagement.
I met S & I midway between Rhode Island and midcoast Massachusetts. We lived the autumn together for a time. And explored the field, and the forest, and the grand old house.
A lovely engagement session with Todd & Karen and Karen’s restored vintage chevy.
It started raining early in the afternoon, but I was optimistic by the damp smell of Spring and a forecasted high climbing just over 50 degrees.
Erika was still game for her engagement shoot with Ryan. We were set to meet two hours before dusk at Larz Anderson Park, and I made a quick call to a local greenhouse as a second location so we could have a little dose of spring for these late March photos.
Myrtle the dog joined us for the shoot. She didn’t seem to mind the cool air and the rain. I didn’t either. It made for a lovely and soft palette, the muted pastels of early spring.
Anyways, you now the old adage, if it rains on your engagement session, no rain on your wedding day. I’m almost certain I heard that somewhere. Congrats Erika & Ryan!
I spent a glittery afternoon with Lauren and Ben. We returned to the place where Ben proposed to Lauren (at a more summery time of year.
The weather warmed enough for us to go without hats and gloves. Lauren’s sister in Texas found me on the internet, but as it turns out Lauren and my husband work for the same company here in Massachusetts.
I’m so looking forward to spending a wedding day with these two kind hearts in October of this year.
Photos taken at Anthem Kitchen + Bar and around Faneuil Hall in Boston, Massachusetts.
And check out the blinky lights on these winter trees. Mwah!
Last weekend I had a marathon photo schedule and it also happened to be 90+ degrees every day! After shooting a wedding in Connecticut on Saturday, I got a few hours of sleep and then met up with this lovely couple at 6 AM the next day to beat the heat and capture some lovely engagement photos in one of my favorite New England spots: Marblehead.
Ashley & Mike, thanks for meeting up with me at such a crazy early morning hour, on the weekend no less! I daresay, I think it was worth it.
